My husband has a large judgment against him. Can they take my equity
even though I'm not named in the judgment? The title is in both names and we live in Calif.

Hi Gini,

Though the title is in both names, the creditor can file a lien on the property as a whole. When the creditor sells off the property to recover his dues, you will be able to claim your share of equity from that property.
