If some emergency occurs and I have large medical bills and file bankruptcy will I lose my house. I live in CA and I do have equity in my house. I have kept up my payments even while on disability. I desperately need to know so I can sleep at night.

As your property has some equity, the trustee may sell it off in order to repay your creditors. Thanks
