My father passed away recently and had done a quitclaim deed in 1998but didn't file it. I filed it after he passed. I have recently sold the house and the title company saw that it was filed after he passed. will this hold up the process of selling the property?

Hi Mamaw,

You should have filed the property deed before your father passed away. I doubt whether or not the title company would accept the property deed as it was filed after your father's death.

Thanks
