I also have a HECM certificate for that house. I am looking for a better deal than I can get from Wells Fargo who want $500 for an appraisal that is solely for THEIR benefit. Can you offer a lender that will absorb or waive the appraisal fee. Perhaps someone trying to break into the Reverse Mortgage field.

I personally do not know about any lender who will waive off the appraisal fee while giving you a reverse mortgage. This community has a large number of lenders. You can seek a no obligation free mortgage quote from them and get to know what type of rates and terms you may receive. Feel free to ask if you've further queries. Sussane
