Hi Lindsay,

Except in the case of elderly and disabled families, section 8 requires you to be currently employed on a full-time basis. You have to be continuously employed on a full-time basis for at least 1 year before you start getting the homeownership assistance. So in your case, it would be difficult for you to qualify for section 8.

Thanks

Hi REGINALD!

Welcome to forums!

You'll have to contact the Public Housing Authority of your area in order to know more about Section 8. You can check out the above link given by James Hogg in his post to know more about Public Housing Authorities.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

Hi regina!

Welcome to forums!

I'm afraid, you won't be able to apply for Section 8 online. You'll have to contact the PHA for Section 8 application.
