I have been self-employed and W2 since 2000 , spoke to the local lender
and was told to show more on my tax returns to qualify for 400K loan.
I was told to show at least 8500 per month , which means I have to use
less deductions and expenses and pay more taxes. If someone had same experience can you tell me what could be done ?
Cheers,
Vlad.

It is difficult to get a stated income loan these days. After the real estate crisis, most lenders have stopped giving stated income loans. This community has a large number of lenders. You can seek a no obligation free mortgage quote from them and check out if they can help you in this matter.
