I just relocated to Oregon from California. I have a house in California that I am renting out. I just started an LLC in California and want to transfer ownership of my house (and the mortgage if possible) to this LLC. What's the most cost effective way to do this?

Hi mrjimu

Have you informed the lender that you want to transfer the property to an LLC and also want to transfer the mortgage in the name of the LLC? As far as I know, there is a chance that the lender will not agree to this and may even call the loan due immediately.

Thanks.
