does anyone know of a no upfront fee principal reduction in California? also has anyone had this done? how long did it take to close etc... Basically just need more info on the whole process thanks!

Hi tracihieserich,

I guess the principal reduction will be a part of your loan modification. Whether or not you would have to pay the upfront fees for principal reduction would depend upon the policies of your lender. There may be some lenders who can offer no upfront fee principal reduction in California.

Yes, there is a company offering no upfront fee for principal reduction. It is not loan modification. They will refinance your loan at the current market value. Current or with late payments , OK. They will buy the note from your bank and then offer you a refinance. You will have new mortgage note at current market value.
