When we bought our house in Colorado the finance was arranged with 80% of the mortgage going on a first and 20% going on a second. Since then we lost the house to foreclosure. The 2nd mortgage company is stating we owe the full amount of the second mortgage. I have know others with the same types of financing and they state they were not responsible for the 2nd.

They are very aggressive in collection garnishing wages and levys on bank account even though we have been making payments. Is there anything we can do for relief?

Welcome Guest,

The collection agency has the rights to collect the dues from you. The lender may have assigned your account to the collection agency and thus they are coming after you and harassing you for the payments. You can negotiate with the collection agency and try to get a payment plan to pay off the dues.
