Hi

Can you kindly publish the estimates in good faith?

Also, I plan to buy a condominium in Colorado. I needed to know if I have to reside in that state particularly for it?

Thanks

Hi AngelEyes,

I think you can go ahead with your plan for Colorado. Earlier a Social Security Number was required by every citizen in the United States for obtaining a mortgage loan. But recently the laws have become more flexible allowing the immigrants to United States from some other country or people migrating from one state to another within the United States to take home loans. The taxpayer identification number issued by the Internal Revenue Service is sufficient enough to qualify for such loans. Non-profit organizations like the ACORN Housing in association with Citibank and small regional banks encourage in offering home loans to buyers having only taxpayer identification number. So, if you have the taxpayer identification number it should not be of much problem for you.

Hi, AngelEyes

Welcome to the Forums.

The main concept of the Good Faith Estimate (GFE) is exactly to provide the borrower with the information needed to shop for a loan effectively.

All the information on estimate in good faith can be found here,
http://www.mortgagefit.com/gfe.html

On that article you will also get the sample form which will give you a complete overview about the procedure and requirements.

To buy a condominium in Colorado, its not always necessary to reside in colorado but again you have to find a lender in your state who also has a broker licencing in colorado itself so that he can work for you effectively.

Thanks
