How do I find out the existing details of the mortgage my clients wish to port?

Well... I'm not very sure about this but I guess you need to contact the mortgage lenders of your client for this.

You can contact the mortgage lender. You can get the details of the mortgage loan from the mortgage lender. Even you can get the relevant details in the website of the mortgage lender.
