Mortgage Capital Associates - Is it good to deal with?

Posted on: 29th Aug, 2007 01:06 am
Hi everyone, here's my story so far with Mortgage Capital Associates, Los Angeles, CA when I applied for refinancing my loan. I had actually applied there after shopping online and observing the rates for a number of months, but who knew I would land up in uncertainty. I completed an online application and they emailed me stating that I was pre-approved. The email confirmed the arte that I applied for and asked me to lock the rate.when I tried to do so, they said I'd require a higher rate. I did not agree but they again called back and said they've mistaken my offer for someone else's and hence the higher rate, so I could then get the rate I wanted. Somehow I locked in the rate. But again there was a problem, after repeatedly trying to talk to the loan officer, I could get him to explain a few things but he didn't pick up the phone. I sent emails instead but no response., finally after about 2 weeks, I got call from him saying that they required more documentation! However, I did send the ones he asked for and I'm still waiting for his response. But this whole story is strange, do you think I should carry on??or is there a better company I can look forward to??
I would not do business with Mortgage capital associates again. We closed on a loan in May of 2010. In January of 2011, we got a $150 charge on our credit card from MCA based on an oversite by them. We refused to pay it and they said our contract from May entitled them to charge us for the services from May. No Statute of limitations. In addition, we had to go to sign our paperwork 2 different times b/c they had gross errors on our paperwork. Would not use them.

Same experience, real unprofessional and incompetent! Never again. Would not recommend them. Faith estimates wrong, after 3rd complaint they still couldn't spell my name right, and then, one day before rate lock expired they came up with a long list of questions they still had although they had everything they originally ask for.

You can also contact with the lending company. You can get the details of the home loan from the lending company. If you want to get the relevant details about this loan, then you should visit on the website of the lending company.

We have been pending with Mortgage Capital since some time in November 2012. We have spent over $750 for appraisal and been approved,. Then ....NOTHING! Can someone let me know what is going on? How about a phone call. Maybe by DAVID YOUNG?

Welcome Deanna,

You should contact the lender and ask them to clarify the matter. They will be able to let you know your loan status.

If you're serious about a refi or purchase you should get ot of your seat and off the computer and speak to them face to face. Someone of merit does not have to to blog all day.

As a Broker in the Banking business for the past year I found it redundent and is not effective to deal with comsumers that do not understand credit or any form of fiance.

I found this blog in error but wanted to take the time to let all the above recipiets to know that waisting time bashing people or giving out half of you infi is nor effective nor wise do to idetity theft!

Best,
Madler
