Citimortgage just bought out my mortgage company, they seem to be about the same. Has anyone dealt with them, anything I should know? They seem to have more options than my other mortgage company, I think they are bigger. Anyone dealing with them, I would appreciate your experience with them positive or negative, thanks.

You mean Citimortgage has bought the company you're dealing with?

Yes, they bought my mortgage company out and are servicing all the mortgages that they had on their books.

I had a tough time with Citimortgage. They had been sending me late payment notices for two months while I had been regular with my payments.

I was lucky that I kept all the docs ready. I went up to them and after a long discussion with their rep I could convince this lady since I had all the proofs.

This month also I got a notice from them saying that no payments were received at all. I contacted them immediately over phone and spoke to that lady. She checked my account, saw the payments were already made on time and then cleared off the late charges.

Hopefully it continues to stay well, they seem to be servicing my mortgage just like my other company, abn did, I was worried but from what I understand that they have to honor the terms of my contract as set up by the other company.

Hi Jbarto,

Till now i've had no experience with Citi but I was just sharing my thoughts on this in another thread. What I feel is, a lot depends on the representative with whom a customer is dealing. Just check out what I shared with others at another thread on CitiMortgage .

May God bless you.

Samantha

Does anyone have a web site address for ABN Mortgage? My mortgage was taken over by Citimortgage, which is OK, but I only have my mortgage interest from last year when they started servicing my loan. I need to get the information on interest paid to ABN.

Thanks,

Linda

Hi Linda,

Welcome to the forum. Are you talking about ABN AMRO? Then their website address is "http://www.abnamro.com/"

Feel free to ask if you have any further questions.

Thanks,
Larry

Hi steve!

Welcome to forums!

Citimortgage will be the best to help you in this matter. The lender will be able to let you know as to how long they are holding your mortgage.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
