I just did a VA MORTGAGE transaction with Lee Foland at EAGLE NATIONWIDE MORTGAGE, and not only is he capable, he is honest, always at your service, reachable at all times and sounds like you cannot be gripping about the same Loan Officer. He was and still is the most qualified LOAN CONSULTANT that I have EVER dealt with. I have given his name to all of my friends and they are more than happy with his fun personality and expert advice.

is this a jekyll/hyde story? we all know that different borrowers will react to a loan officer in different ways, but i always thought it was because the borrowers were kinda spooky....hey...i'm just kidding!

but to see 2 posts that close to each other raving about and complaining about the same man is a little funny. it honestly doesn't look that valid to me.

Probably because you have dealt with him after the fact. that he got in trouble with the President and the BBB.....He is still a P.O.S...I got a good rate on my home and completed the Loan...But the fact he lied about where the money went is the Problem, was supposed to go into escrow.

i've never dealt with this man, let alone the company itself. my opinions are my own, though, and i react to what others have written about their experiences. but jasoneric, you said you got a good rate and that he lied; which is the real story - that he's wonderman or blunderman??

I had to write a check for 1800 dollars....he said it would go into escrow.. and did not. it was to help us stay ahead because we pay our taxes and HO insurance. and if the escrow comes negative the next years payment will go up...you know how that works...so we agreed to that. when all said and done he did not hold up his end of the deal and applied it to the closing costs..we called him he said a deal is a deal...yes our rate went down, our monthly payment went up, but more goes towrds the principal than in the past.....The guy that did the closing at our house said we didn't owe anymore for closing ..Thats when we sent the check to lee to be added to Escrow,,,,Never made it in there but got put on the back end of our closing cost and he made more in Commisions....he is a Blunderman in your words.

Since the beginning of the year 2010 there will be no issues with hidden fees as new RESPA rule obligates to show all of the fees charged to be shown on the GFE prior to signing the application. So each borrower will be aware of the costs they will have to face at closing, no surprizes at closing, yay! Surprised
As for appraisals - since May of 2009 all of the appraisals are ordered through Appraisal Management Companies, and they manage who to assign the theproperty to to be appraised. Besides, if you do not agree with the appraised value, you can always argue that, but usually all of the appraisers use cost approach to evaluating the property value, so don't be surprised if your property came back with a lower value than you expected, sorry to say that. Good luck everyone!

Hi everyone! My name is Tetyana and I am a senior loan officer at Eagle Nationwide Mortgage, Delaware branch. I am really sorry to hear that we still have incompetent people in our company. But I wouldn't judge whole company because of the incompetence of few people. We have branches all over Unites States and here like generally in life plays role a human factor. We usually remeber bad things more than good. So I would like to shatter those negative thought that might have built by now in your minds, and assure you that there are competent people working at our Company, I would even say the majority of them. Its your own choice who you would like to work with, but why don't give it a try?
I wish you all good luck !

Eagle national bank uses bully and scare tactics to harrass you if your less then 30 days late on a payment. I have the chief lending officer (named GRANT CONWAY) calling me threatening to foreclose if I am only 30 days late on a payment. They are horrible to do business with.. BE FOREWARNED

[Abusive word deleted. Thanks.]

I'm working with them now and have found the ride bumpy at best. I won't mention too much now, but will say there's seems be, as gmakerley says, a Jekyll and Hyde thing going on. I'm a newbie and not sure if I'm being taken for a ride or not. I'm doing an FHA also.
As far I as know, they're working as mortgage brokers, but I have no idea what bank they're going with at this point, or who my actual loan officer would be, and they seem to be reluctant to provide that info - should I be concerned?
Mentor gmakerley - is there a good independent guide/primer on what to expect or what things I should watch out for?
At first they seemed like superheros, now they seem more buffoonish.
Any tips would be appreciated
