I didn't think they where offering retail anymore....but there is nothing wrong with there operations.

Is a broker doing the loan for you? Can you fill us in on your details and the terms of your offer?

I had a first and second mortgage with First Franklin National City Bank. Then after a year I have refinanced it with EquiFirst Corporation. But near about 4 months they sold it or transferred it to ASC Americas Servicing Company and told me to make payments to ASC Americas Servicing Company. I started making payments but for some reason EquiFirst Corporation cannot receive payments from ASC. But I was never late. But EquiFirst Corporation filed a notice of intent To Foreclosure and charged a huge amount.

So watch out this company.

Equifirst is doing just fine -- Safe? Well, I'd say that any lender is safe. They just have to come through at funding, right? After that, anyone can service the contract.

So, did you talk to Equifirst representative or loan officer regarding their intent to foreclose? they didn't even send you any notice of foreclosure as such. If Equifirst cannot receive payments from Americas, it's their problem, why should you be responsible and why should your home be foreclosed? I suggest you talk to the companies and try to stop them from reporting the foreclosure and resolve the issue.

Good luck
