They are now collecting your debit card information associated with the checking account you submitted on the application. That will give them easy access to withdrawal funds from your account. Do not agree to that. It is not in the contract agreement, and they are trying to revise the agreement as we speak, to cover their butts!

I was under the impression they would do this until I had paid back my loan from them but it continues.
I am at a total loss and do not want to tell my husband that we need to change our checking account out, but don't know what to do?

Welcome paula,

You should file a complaint at the State Attorney General's office and the BBB regarding the malpractices of the lender. Also, I would suggest you to contact your bank and check out if they can help you take a decision regarding your bank account.

I visited the BBB and this company has a rating of "F" and is not even located within the US... I also came to find that they are not licensed in most of the states with which they issue loans. I was researching payday loans, however I never actually signed any paperwork or agreement, 2 fridays later there is $300 in my checking account.

I have not been contacted by the group or been able to contact the group until my CU found their contact info. Here I am $360 later trying to get this resolved with SSM to no avail... just keep going up and down the phone tree. Seeing as how I've paid the original loan amount plus $60 I will be contacting my CU today to have the ACH payments stop.

I also went to the BBB and this group is on there, you can read the information at their website. I'm going to end this thru my CU and chalk it up to experience... but I think when we hear the word "predatory lending" this is the group to which they are referring.

Hi,

What is CU? and how do I contact them? They deposited $300 into my account this morning and I don't want to deal with them. How do I get in touch with them? the number 866-463-2130 is constantly busy???

Help!!

Hi Samsum!

Welcome to forums!

CU is the abbreviation for Credit Union. You have to be a member of a credit union in order to get a mortgage from them or get any other benefits. I hope you are speaking about SSM LLC here. If you find that they are debiting from your account, then you can close the account and file a complaint against them to your State Attorney General as Adonis has suggested.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

1) An initial search for contact info for this company gave me the phone number (866) 516-3100. When you call that, it lists the names of several companies and the phone numbers to call, for each company.

2) The phone number listed from that answering service is (866) 463-2130. This sends you to a company called OSL Marketing. Their hours are 8 am - 4:30 pm central standard time.

3) The Better Business Bureau (BBB) has the above number listed for SSM Group LLC, as well as a P.O. Box address located in Mission, Kansas. This won't be much help, as that's not a physical address.

4) In a search of OSL Marketing on the BBB's website, I've come up with two additional numbers. They are:
(816) 822-8677
(866) 533-5788

And a physical address of:

2 E. Gregory Blvd.
Kansas City, MO 64114

I Googled the first phone number which linked me to a Merchant Circle page.

The phone number does actually belong to OSL Marketing. The address on that page is as follows:

11 Gregory Blvd Apt E
Kansas City, MO 64114

A Google Maps search of the first address associates it with OSL Marketing, but also another company called KC Mortage Group.

A Google Maps search of the second address corrects it to be this address:

11 E Gregory Blvd,
Kansas City, Jackson, Missouri 64113

and also this address

11 E Gregory Blvd
Kansas City, MO 64113

Both of which are associated with OSL Marketing Inc./Shabazz Londa Atty/Kansas City Federation-Mscns.

A Google search for the second (866) number leads to OSL Marketing and another loan company called DJR Group.

The first link in the search shows that DJR Group apparently has the same practices as SSM Group LLC/OSL Marketing.

The DJR Group BBB page lists an address located in Mission, Kansas. The address listed is:

5700 Broadmoor St
Mission, KS 66202

This company, like OSL Marketing, has a F and is not a BBB accredited company. A Google Maps search for that address brings up the names of like ten (10) companies, but I don't see DJR Group LLC in there anywhere.

If SSM Group LLC is debiting your checking account, you can contact your financial institution and have them return all payments within the last 60 days. I have a member who got a $250 loan and SSM has now debited her for an extra $305. (Including a $30 fee for one payment being returned nsf.) All financial institutions have a Regulation E disclosure. Get a copy. It explains who to dispute and return the charges. You may end up with a collector calling, but I'd welcome a chance to go to court against them and point out that I got no disclosure, didn't sign a note and was never given an interest rate.

This should be a lesson to all! Join a credit union and let them be your guide. Borrow from them! Don't borrow from faceless shell companies on the internet. I was just shocked when I saw what this company was doing to our member. I am going to return $300 of the payments they took from her.

Ssm group is actually located in the carribean(Nevis) and they have been known to forge documents for loans that you may not have signed up for. The easiest thing to do is call your bank and tell them you want to dispute an unauthorized ACH credit(direct deposit) to your account. There will be some paperwork to fill out and I would
Change your account number once the transaction is resolved. Do not contact ssm at all. You should be able to resolve everything through your bank. You can also contact the BBB and file a
Complaint there too. There are already 49 complaints about this company on BBB site
