I have way more than the 31 % required or mordification. but GMAC wont help. WHAT SHOUD I DO.

Modification is done for people with financial trouble

So if you cna show that you have some trouble makign payments to the loan, then call your ldner and ask for modification again

Also if you have been denied ask for the reason why they denied it

Hi,

You can ask your financial adviser or bank. They will be give some advise for modification. All of this modification depends on your bank.
So please contact your bank.

indeed, get back to your lender so they can tell you specifically why they're unable to do a modification for you. you need to understand this, if only for the purpose of closure.

For a moment there I thought she was talking about gmakerley, was about to say that he's normally pretty helpful, then I got it.

Loan Mods seem interesting at the moment, some say you need to have missed payments, others say you dont....the criteria seem a little fluid.

"interesting" is quite a word to use to describe loan modifications. i can think of several more, particularly after having read some people's descriptions of their efforts:

frustrating
annoying
hair-raising
mind-boggling
ridiculous

i may have to run and get my Roget's out to complete this string.
