Do not give these people a second thought. They took us for 3600.00. Everytime I called I was told they are in process of talking to our lender. We would get notices from our lender about foreclosure and things of that nature and this law group would tell me it was a computer generated letter and not to worry about it. We have been "working" on this for a year and a half! We have now finally gotten a letter from an attorney via the lender about foreclosure and I either get a busy signal or nothing at all when I call USMAC. As for talking with the lender ourselves, been down that road. Get the run around and talk with representatives that have no idea what the hell they are talking about. Our lender is Chase Home Finance, so steer clear of these guys too.

I, too, was a victim of USMAC, who got $3500.00 from us to remodify our mortgage. They were horrible with returning phone calls, and I ended up remodifying my mortgage, myself with my lender. However, my payment did not change much, by only $60.00, which is really insignificant when your mortgage is $2392.00 a month. Can't these crooks of USMAC be stopped and is there any way that the trusting public, can get their money back for a service never provided?

Hi Kimmy,

You can contact the State Attorney General's office and file a complaint against USMAC. You can even contact an attorney and check out if you can take any legal actions against them in order to recover your monies.

I SEEN THERE INFOMERCIAL ONE MORNING AND SINCE I WAS UPSIDE DOWN ON MY MORTGAGE AND THEY "APPEARED" TO BE CREDIBLE I GIVE THEM A CALL. THEY WANTED MONEY ($3995) AND MY ACCOUNT INFO.
I WAS SO STRESSED WITH MY PROPERTY I GAVE THEM A DEPOSIT AND STATED I WOULD MAKE MONTHLY INSTALLMENTS ON THE BALANCE.
AT FIRST THEY WERE RESPONDING TO MY CALLS AND CALLING ME BACK WITH UPDATES. THEN WITHIN MONTHS OF THE PROCESS THE ORIGINAL REP I WAS DEALING WITH (HER NAME WAS/IS CORINNE) WAS NO LONGER WITH THE COMPANY. THEN IT WAS STATED THAT THE REP WAS MARY GEUTHNER. I GOT CONCERNED WHEN EVERY TIME I CALLED TO GET STATUS I WOULD GET A RECORDER. I WOULD LEAVE MSGS-NO CALLBACK....THINGS HAVE GOTTEN SO BAD I AM NOW IN THE PROCESS FOR A SHORT SALE. THANKS USMAC LAW GROUP FOR ALL YOUR HELP-SCUM SUCKING BOTTOMDWELLERS.....
STAY AWAY FROM THIS SH$%%Y PIECE OF CRAP COMPANY.

YES USMAC IS A SCAM THEY TOOK $3795 FOR THEIR SERVICES. WHICH THEY NEVER DID PROVIDE. I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO CONTACT THEM FOR OVER A YEAR , UNTIL THEY SENT ME A LETTER THIS MONTH BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO WORK WITH MY MORTGAGE COMPANY BECAUSE THEY DID NOT, FOR BREACH OF CONTRACT. USMAC IS THE ONE WHO IS IN BREACH OF CONTRACT, NOT ME!

Why don't you file a complaint against them with the BBB and your State Attorney General?

Legal Subcommittee of the USMac is a complete hoax. Please do not pay their money to modify your loan. They have taken thousands of money! They do not have the people in that place to get your loan modification. This is a brilliant owner has taken in many cases, they are lucky if they can modify a single loan. Do not trust them.

Hi Guggles,

I agree with you. It is always better to contact the lender directly and apply for loan modification. If a third party is contacted for loan modification, then they will charge extra fees and there is no guarantee that the lender will approve the modification.

Unfortubately, many people are inadequately prepared to deal with their lender(s), or feel that their understanding of what needs to be done is inadequate; thus they reach out to third parties.

The grave mistake is that many tap into the scammers instead of the legitimate third parties who might be helpful without the need for thousands of dollars of expenditures.

NACA is a good example of a third party entity that will benefit a consumer at no cost. Further, if a borrower will take the time to search on the HUD website, there are thousands of authorized counseling agencies throughout the country who'll take on a case free of charge. Clearly, as well, there are state agencies across the country who will also step in with free assistance.

The key is that there is no need to spend thousands to get another party to step in and do anything at all, given the numbers of those who'll work for free and professionally, at that.
