Just got a call from a lawyers firm. I have paid them for 3 mths now. This informed today that if I don't pay the rest on the debt that they will be putting a lein on my home. I live in Pa. Can they do this?

Hi lisa!

Welcome to forums!

In order to put a lien on your property, the lender will have to file a lawsuit against you and get a judgment. Unless the lawyer's firm gets a judgment against you, they won't be able to place a lien on your property.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
