if we are unable to pay the very high monthly amount set up for our chapter 13 bankruptcy and they want to dismiss it...is there a way that they would set the payment to a lowered amount which we are able to pay?
my husband has had decreased income since the time it was set up. we just cannot pay $1,178 per month! we could afford to pay $800 per month though.
also...if it is dismissed will his income be garnished to pay our debts since they are no longer in bankruptcy protection? then we really couldn't afford to pay our bills or live anywhere.

Hi Guest,
Rather than dismissing Chapter 13, you should contact your bankruptcy attorney and trustee and ask them to lower the payment plan that they have offered you. If your bankruptcy is dismissed, you will not receive any protection against your lenders/creditors.
