I am trying to fix my credit after years of being irresponsible and having some employment problems. I presently have a credit score of 523. There are many collection accounts mentioned in my credit report. Apart from that I also have a judgment of $4300 that I am paying down. I have already taken out a secured CC in order to improve my credit score. I have some medical debts. Would paying those off help me raise my credit score? I don't even know where to begin will. Please help. Thanks in advance.

Hi Carolina,

Paying off your medical debts will definitely help you in raising your credit score. However, you should note that you won't find your credit scores improving immediately. It will take some time to find an improvement in your credit scores. I will suggest you to start paying off your medical debts immediately.

Thanks,

Jerry
