Property liens by a creditor

Posted on: 29th Mar, 2012 05:59 am
Is there a statue of limitations on a property lien filed by a creditor on our home in Indiana. Does that lien stay on the house until you die if not paid off? Can it by released?
Hi JPK!

Welcome to forums!

The lien may stay in the property if it is not paid off. However, there are statute of limitations on liens placed on the property. However, you will have to contact an Indiana based lawyer and he will guide you further in this regard.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
