Bankruptcy Dismissal

Posted on: 13th Mar, 2011 11:34 am
Got a letter wanting to dismiss our Chapter 13 Case because job is failing to submit the right wage deductions to the court however our case gets discharged in June anyway. The major debt has either been paid off or caught up. The cars have been paid for for months and the house arrears have been caught up for 2 years. What happens if its dismissed? Do they come get the cars and the house? Should we be worried?
Welcome Mooky,

If the case is dismissed, then your lenders/creditors will come after you in order to get their payments in full. If the debts has been paid off through the bankruptcy plan, then, I don't think the lender will be able to come after you for any kind of debts.
