Hi Stella,
You can get a free report after being denied for credit. Your lender is going to provide you with the bureau and its phone number to request for a free credit report. |

| You can visit the CRA websites. You will be able to get a copy online from Experian and TransUnion. |

Hi Stella,
I was denied credit recently and applied for a free copy with the bureau. I have got one without much delay. So, I think there shouldn't be any problem with you too. |

Hi Stella,
The company with which you applied for credit is liable to provide with you that credit bureau's information after you are denied for a credit.
In this case you are entitled to get a free copy of your report within the last 60 days after getting denied for credit.
If you find that there is any mistake in the report, you can dispute that item for free by sending a filled up dispute form and attaching copy of the supporting documents.
Don't worry. You won't get it tough to get one.
God bless you.

Stella,
Any time you are denied credit, you are eligible to receive a FREE copy of your credit report by any of the 3 bureaus that the creditor used in making their decision of denial.
The credit bureaus must provide a free copy of the credit to the consumer, along with a dispute package.
Contact information:
TransUnion: (800) 916-8800 www.TransUnion.com
Experian: (888) 397-3742 www.Experian.com
Equifax: (800) 685-5000 www.Equifax.com
Follow the directions in requesting a FREE credit bureau report based on the fact that you were denied credit.
The FREE credit report will arrive from each respective bureau along with a mandatory Dispute Package. If there are inaccuracies on your reports, fill out the dispute documentation and return it to the individual bureau. It is always a good idea to gather and include a letter from the original creditor that states your account is paid/satisfied or include other supporting documents that prove your claim
(ie: proof of payment, such as a copy of both sides of canceled checks, receipts, etc.).
Best of Luck! _________________ Bill Clanton is a Mortgage Specialist and Manager of State Street Mortgage of Illinois. StateStreetMortgage.Net |
