They can not legally re age the debt, do you have the original creditor on your report also. If you have the original creditor on there then the sol should go by the date of last activity of the original, unless you have paid money to a collection agency on the account. If you have not paid anything, go on and dispute the date that they have re aged, they can not just do this. Keep us updated. goodluck.

Hopefully they will get results. I hear some people encounter nightmares when trying to clear wrongful mistakes put on their accounts. The main thing is that she hasn't made any payments and she has proof of the original date.

TransUnion deleted Midland and I got a corrected CR.
Low and behold Midland calls me today!
I am sending the report from TU and A SOL CD out ASAP, to Midland.
Isn't what they are doing against FDCPA?

Welcome back Diana.

Have you informed Midland that TransUnion has deleted and your credit report has been corrected? If not then I feel you should inform Midland about it.

Is Midland harassing you or threatening you? If they are threatening you or doing anything of these sorts then it will be against FDCPA?

BTW have you consulted with a lawyer yet?

Keep us posted Smile

I disputed with the big 3 CR.
TU deleted it
other 2 verified it.
Next day Midland calls.
Sent them a SOL/ CD. letter.
Waiting to see what hits the wall next......

Yes, I sent a copy of TU's letter with my SOL/CD letter to them.
Got my green cards back.
Midland never sent me any valid....on debt.
I have posted on LawGuru and got some good advice.
Will recheck my CR in a week and see what happened if anything.
Have not found a lawyer interested at this time.

Hi tab,

Any negative item will stay in your credit report for 7 years. After 7 years are over, it will get removed from your report.
