Hi decogoddess!

Welcome to forums!

A short sale would negatively affect your credit score. Your credit score would go down by 80-100 points. As a negative item, the short sale would also remain on your credit report for the next 7 years. Also, you will be able to apply for a mortgage after 2-3 years of short sale.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
