Like 0 Dislike 0 Most apartments now perform legal criminal record assessments on potential house owners. This was not a common practice only 10 years ago but recent pivotal events such as the 9/11 terror attacks tilted the way property owners work. Conducting legal record assessments on house owners is now the norm. Landlords can perform legal criminal record assessments on potential house owners by liaising with the local courts or simply by hiring the services of a data screening company.

People are paying top dollar for homes and dont want to be living next to a criminal. It's a way to ensure safety for the landlord and the tenants of the apartment building.
