I got a copy of my credit report today.
A credit card has in the comment line "reaffirmation of debt." What does this mean and why is it on my report? Can I get it removed? (How)

There is, also, a small amount owed to a Drs. office listed as a collection "D-unpaid." Not sure about how to go about proving this has been paid. The Drs. office is saying we owe a different amount than the report says and my husband says it has been paid.

Thanks.

Welcome waawaa,

Did you file bankruptcy and reaffirmed the credit card debt? If yes, then that's the reason why your credit card account is showing "reaffirmation of debt". If you haven't reaffirmed your debts, then you can contact the credit card company by sending a certified mail and ask them to remove it.

If your husband feels that the collections had been paid off, then he must have some documents in relation to that. He should contact the Drs. Office and ask them to remove it from the credit report.
