I had 1 bad account left on my credit report and they sent me a letter on few days back stating they would delete the negative account from my credit reports. As of today, it is off TU and EX but Equifax is not deleting. Is there anything I can do to get them to delete this??? Any suggestions???

Hi Mel,

You should contact Equifax and check out as to why they aren't deleting the negative information from your credit report. You should negotiate with them so that they are convinced to remove that negative item from your credit report which will help you in improving your credit score immensely.

Thanks,

Jerry

Who sent you a letter?

If the letter was sent by the original creditor, you may just need to wait a bit longer for them to update your file with Equifax as well. I would at least give them 30 days to make the changes before getting too worried about it.

It's a good sign that it's already been updated with the other 2 bureaus though.
