Hello there… I have heard that there are "do it yourself" ways to improve credit scores before taking help from the credit repair companies. Can you let me know some these ways to improve score?

Hi,

Instead of taking professional help, you can contain the debts that you owe with your serious efforts. In order to do this, first of all, you need to obtain your credit report from the 3 major credit bureaus - Equifax, TransUnion and Experian. After obtaining your credit report, the next step would be to analyze your report and to identify the things which are affecting your score negatively. If you find that some items in the report have been given erroneously, which are affecting your credit score negatively, you have all the rights to dispute those items. Once these items are removed, your credit score receives a boost.

Also, rule of thumb on credit, is to have your balances less than 40% of the credit limit. This will help improve your scores. If you lack credit, get added as authorized user on another persons account, or get a secured credit card to restablish your credit. Good luck

Hi Guest,

Repairing credit on your own is definitely a very good option as it will help you save money that you may otherwise have to pay to the credit repair companies. You shouldn't make late payment to your creditors as it badly affects your credit report. Apart from that you can also take out secured credit cards and pay it off on time, This is one of the easiest ways to improve your credit score.

Thanks
