If I have a mortgage in my name and the deed to the house is in both mine and my wifes name will her credit score be negatively affected? I have seen the answers already given but have not seen any that apply to a currently married couple.

if she's not on the mortgage then it will not affect her if you are late.

if you go into foreclosure that's another story.

Hi.

Your wife's was on the deed. So if foreclosure occurs then it will be shown on her credit report. So it will affect her credit report. But as she was not on the mortgage her credit will not be affected as much as your credit.

Feel free to ask if you have any further questions.

Best of luck,
Larry
