how long before it goes back up?
Hi lopezerik,
Yes, credit scores may get affected due to hard inquiries. Your credit score will not improve immediately. It will take some time. It would be better if you could limit the hard inquiries on your credit report to stop the lowering of the credit score further.
Thanks

within a couple of months, assuming you don't go applying for more credit, you should see an increase. what will expedite that process is if you were to pay down some of the balances you may have at this time. if you have derogatory items, such as collections, etc. then paying those in full right away will also have a favorable effect on your scores.
thanks for your reply....another thing, will it go back to 625 if i wait and not run my credit at all?
Welcome Erik,
If you stop pulling your credit, your credit score can get improved. However, it would not get improved immediately. It would take sometime to improve your score.

checking your own credit will not impact your score. having a lender check your credit will. by doing nothing, you don't help yourself, though. i'd think you would want to help yourself.
