I am taking steps to improve my credit. I have one secured card. This month I want to pay it down to zero balance. Will I see my points increase next month if I do that?

Hi Dude,

It is good to note that you're taking steps to improve your credit. However, your credit scores may not improve so soon. It will take some time to see an increase in your credit scores. So, you need to be patient enough and wait till you find an improvement in your credit scores.

Take care.

When the bureaus see that there is no balance, its like you never used the card. Credit is based on many factors, but keeping your balance under 40% of the limit is best. This way you are showing that you can use and manage your credit wisely. Having accounts open, but not in use is not improving scores.
