Hi I had recently signed my husband onto a credit monitoring program. One that is supposed to help in removing incorrect information. There are things on his report like one of my creit cards that I ended up defaulting, but since paid off. I explained this to the dispute dept but she refused to even investigate it. also with my husbands sears card that went bad. but has also been paid. problem a JDB bought, reaged the account and posted it as new, so there is a bouble reporting of the same account making it look like 2 derogotories. Since she wouldn't post the dispute can we dispute them directly thru the CRA's? his creit is actuall pretty good and we would like to see it jacked u[p a little bit. right now it is at 650. we have been paying to mortgage and another loan (almost paid in full) and his capital one on time Capital has a $0 balance but still open. is there anything else we can do?

you've obviously paid too much for this program which apparently has given you no real benefit. you can send as much information (on your own) to the credit reporting agencies as you have that will reflect your payment in full of the accounts you noted. this will take from 30-60 days to get cleared up, probably, but you ought to see an improvement in the score.

if you have any chance to get some money back from the program, by all means do so.

credit monitrign compnies just monitor your credit for any suspecious acvity and i have not seen any one make a claim that they will remove anythign which is already wrong on the report

I think ti is the individuals responsiblity to look at the report and disput the wrong items

Also rememeber after your defult and pay ti off, it will not goaway from yoru report immeditely, it will stay there for 7 years

I am not sure George really how much money can they get back, looks lik they bought credit monitorign service

it would be a good idea not to count on getting any money back, just in case that happens. if you get any refund, consider it gravy.
