I have a judgment out against me, and they are supposed to begin garnishing my wages. I spoke with someone at a credit counseling firm who said that in oct 2010, the account is supposed to be closed, or they will stop reporting. my question is, come Oct or Nov will they continue to garnish my wages, or will it stop?? I asked the person from the credit counseling but he did not know. I have not reached out to him since then.

Welcome cperez,

If the lender/creditor has recovered his dues with the help of wage garnishment in these 7 years, then he won't continue to garnish your wages any longer. However, if the lender/creditor has not completely recovered the dues, then he would continue the garnishment.
