Hi manolitotaina,

A quitclaim deed will surely help you add your name to the title and be the legal owner of it. However, It will not affect your credit score in any way. It'll neither boost up nor hurt your existing credit score.

Thanks,

Jerry

the only way in which to positively affect your credit score is to be obligated on a loan or credit card and make payments on that debt. what you and your landlord propose to do will have no impact on your credit standing at all.
