In 2008 due to health reasons I was hospitalized and left the country and went back to my home country.
Some how, I called to the HOSPITAL, RADIOLOGY, DOCTORS office and paid almsot USD 3000 dollars even though I am not working in US.
Unfortunately there are two bills are not reported to me, and they sent in 2009 to my previous address and I didn't get them.
Now, I back to US again on some company work. When I check my credit history, those 2 bills are reported to collection from there to Credit History. One is for 320 and one is for 346 dollars, and I called the collection teams and paid them.
Now, i am seeking a help to remove those two entries from my credit history.. How to increase my credit history again.
Please help me.
thanks & regards

It is good to note that you've paid off the bills that were send to the collections. Normally, any negative item remains on your credit report for 7 years. However, as you've paid off the bills, I would suggest you to write a goodwill letter to your collection agency and request them to contact the credit bureaus and get the negative listings removed from your credit report.
Thanks

Hi James,
Thanks for providing the linke for goodwill letter. Yes, i requested them orally over the phone and they agreed. But, still I am wondering how far they are going to help me to remove those entries from Credit Report.
Sincerely, I am telling I haven't done that mistake I have not received my bills (medical bills). If they are not going to help me where should I go anywhere I can beg or challenge this
As you've not received the bills, you won't be able to prove that you've paid off the dues. You can contact your creditor and check out if they can help you with the duplicate copy of the bills. This'll help you in proving the fact that you've paid off the dues. Thus, you would be able to remove the negative items from your credit report. _________________ Procrastination is the enemy of your financial success
If yor medical bills are with a collection agency the original creditor will not have anything more to do with it. Once they sell your debt to a collection agency, the collection agency is now the new owner and no paperwork follows from the previous creditor.
In this case you can either pay it or get a % taken off by just asking. More are willing to cut a portion down if they know your going to pay. Once its paid though it is still on your credit report for 7-10 years and shows as a paid debt in collections.
This can help you as it will show it HAS been paid but as far as your credit score that will take time to rebuild. A good site for tips and more help is "www.PositiveCreditRating.com" and the goal now is to work towards getting your credit report and making sure what shows on there you can either pay (if in collections) or fight if still with original creditor.
