| In 2005 i was renting an apt i paid the rent in money order form and put it in their drop box landlord said they never got it and 5 days later i had court papers for judgement. I talked to the owner and she said if i paid it before the court date she would stop the judgement. So that is what i did and later to my surprise she had went ahead and filed for the jud. I contacted her and she said that she was sorry and will mark it as paid. Later i got a hand writen letter saying it was there fault and the judgment was wrong. NOw i live in a different state and want to get this off my credit how can i do that. |

Hi bethany!
Welcome to forums!
I think it would be better if you could contact an attorney and take his help in this issue. You will have to contact the credit bureaus and inform them that the judgment was wrong. As a proof, you will also show them the letter that your landlord had issued in that respect. A lawyer would help you in drafting the letter which you need to submit to the credit bureaus.

| Having lawyer draft a letter will not remove it with credit bureaus . Experian will not remove it transunion and equifax will but in order to get it of experian will have to be done through the courts. Ive been there, have lawyer vacate it or do it yourself thats what I just done. |
