Sad If I was to get a secured card of 500.00 ,keep balance low and pay off every month ,how much do you think my score would go up in 4 months?
My scores now are 559,613,and 584.I'm trying to get them up to buy a home.I paid 3 collections and O.C is going to delete them and had a judgment vacated that wasn't mine, should reflect on credit report in dec. should my scores go up any then as well.

Welcome Guest,

If you pay off the negative items and also open a secured credit card, then it would definitely have a positive effect on your credit report. Thus, your score would get improved. However, it would take some time to raise your score. The number of points by which it would go up would depend upon the other negative items that you have on the list.

Like most things, it's quicker to break something than to build it. you can ruin your credit in only a few months if you really work at it, but it can take years to build it back.

Good idea on the secured card though - great place to start.
