I need some advice. I recently bought a house with my name on it and I have a domestic partner who doesn't have her name on the deed. If we were to break up..would she have any rights to try to claim the property. We split the mortgage payments every month.

she can probably make a case for her splitting the costs with you.

remember, anybody can sue anybody else for anything at any time. that doesn't mean it will be a successful case, but i guess the keywords are "buyer beware."

Without a written contract she has no right to the house, assuming you are not in a "gay marriage" state.
