What I can understand from your post is that one of you property is under deed in lieu process. Is it that you have some other property and have problems regarding mortgage payments? This is because in most cases, the lender won't ask for a deficiency, so even if you can't pay it he won't place a lien on the other property. Hope this helps... God bless you.
