quit claim deed, warranty deed, property transfer, which one is right for me? I live in NY and mysefl and my boyfriend are registered as domestic partners. We've been sharing a house and all the bills for the last 6 years and we are trying to figure out the easiest way to transfer a 50% share of the house into my name since his is the only one currently on the title and need.
I would appreciate any help you may be able to give.
thank you,
Christine

Welcome Ctfifthofsix,

I suppose using a quitclaim deed will be the easiest way to transfer 50% share of your property.
