I mean its towards the downward side and it will continue to fall in the next week too. _________________ Procrastination is the enemy of your financial sucess
I disagree with adonis. I think the rates are on a high. Rates for 30 year fixed rate mortgage has gone upto 6.37 compared to last weeks 6.32. And the rates for 5/1 adjustable rate mortgage has crossed the 6 percent mark 6.02 to be precise.
It would appear that rates are indeed higher. _________________ Cedric Kalvesmaki

There is some difference in opinion, among the experts, regarding the trend in the near future.
Some of them believe that there will be a hike in the mortgage rates over the next 35 to 45 days while others believe that there will be no considerable change in the rates. If there is any change it will be within 2 basis points.

Hi,
Rates have gone down a bit compared to last week but experts say that the rates will again rise. And rates for short term loan will rise faster than the long term loans.

Hi Demoac
Yes, the mortgage rates are going down and they are likely to remain so in the coming days. The 30 year Fixed rate loans have dropped from 5.92% to 5.91% while 15 year loans also seem to have dropped down by .01% than previous week. The 5/1ARM rate is however similar to that of next week, that is, 5.64%.
