miscellaneous closing cost

While going through the loan process I have come across the term miscellaneous closing cost. Are these standard costs to be paid?

Miscellaneous costs are a part of the closing cost that may be required to be paid on the services provided on your or your lender's request. The cost depends on the location and the type of the property.

Some of them are -

assumption fee charged for assuming an existing mortgage
fees for lending institutions, title companies, escrow companies
adjustment fee for various expenses prorated between the seller and the buyer
fees for related legal services provided by the lender
attorney fees in case you involve an attorney

These are essential services if you want to avoid any future trouble and you may have to take the help of some or all the services.

I want to add some more under miscellaneous closing costs.

The cost for home inspections, radon tests, pest inspections, home warranties will also fall under this type among others.
