Hi,
The best thing to start this forum is by drawing the picture of marketing in mortgage business. Why is it different from other industries? Simple - because people are coming to brokers for a personal attention and wanting to keep it that way.
There are a bunch of top producers selling marketing programs, which are hard to implement (we had at least 10 that we never used). Sending holidays and birthday cards is another thing that most of us do.
I personally did a 3 year funded clients campaign which included holidays cards, nice little presents, such as magnet calendars and new batteries for smoke detectors and the whole thing worked! We spent some $ on it, but it was worth it.
Some consider this information as know-how, but I think we will all win by fine-tuning our ideas through this forum. Any thoughts on that?

Thats an interesting topic to start, and I hope through this discussion we will have the clear picture about the relation between mortgage and marketing.
I dont have too much knowledge on marketing but yeah I will agree that now a days lenders are using various marketing methods to prmote their products. |

I agree with you  but you need to more careful with your service towards the people coming to you. As they believe you and you can't let them down. MortgageFit tries to pay attention to the problems of the people in the best possible way they can.

There is importance of marketing of your product as otherwise people won't get the impression of it. Marketing is a major area to be looked into but in doing so it should be taken care that the service is not neglected. I think if you can satisfy each of the visitors coming to you with your honesty that plays a major role in your marketing part as well as it helps to maintain the good objectives of your service.

Yes I liked and honor your thoughts. I think other members of this community will also appreciate your suggestions. Suggestions are always welcome. I agree to both of you. Marketing is very important in launching a product and enabling it to reach people and as Samantha said that good and honest service is also required.
This will act as a support to your present and future promotion.

Marketing in mortgage industry is a little different from most of other industries. The reason is as simple as a maze, as mortgage is the major decision next to your retirement plans. People will do all possible researches before testing the honey coated effectively marketed mortgage plans.
IMO the best marketing is to provide the needed information to the customer and help them choose the suited one. At mortgagefit our community is on the right path by providing the required help and guidance, no obligation help for all. Mortgagefit community is creating smarter customers. This can be termed as value-added marketing, where a customer is educated to choose the best.

Advertising is always playing major role in marketing. And now-a-days organization used to do web advertisement.
But I think we need to make some changes in the way of web advertisement. While developing business, dynamic-ness is very important. Like, generally we used to prepare some catch type of sentence highlighting our services. This becomes common to all. Viewers get bored to see the same concept every where. And even I think it doesn't hit that much emotionally to the borrower.
I am thinking of some different type of concept. Like, if we make the advertisement with small clipping of industry news. The main thing is that the clipping you are preparing should be on new story. Because viewers are always keen to know the happening in the mortgage industry or some latest change in rules or regulation in the industry. And one more thing we need to present the news in such a way so that people must read it.
