Hi Stacy,
In many places you will find details provided on how much your monthly payments would be, the interest rate applicable, the specific product terms and special benefits if any. Also the discount applicable may be available.

Hi Stacy,
Another benefit is that you can go through the process as per the time convenient to you (even at dead night). There is no need to wait for the loan officer to give you time for your initial approach.
I feel in case of some special requirement, meeting a loan officer personally will help better, but otherwise the on line mortgage process is very much helpful in comparing loans, getting good rate and saving time.
