| I too have had problems tracking this company down. The thing is I never applied for a loan with them. Money just showed up in my account one day and I called the bank to check it out. They gave me the name of the depositor and I have been trying to track them down. Until now I have not been able to find anyone that had ever heard of them. Of course they are taking funds out of my account now and the money has been way over-paid but they continue. After putting a stop payment on them the change the amount by 1 cent and continue debiting my account. I STILL have never spoken with ANYONE from this "ghost" company. What can I do? |

Hi carolyn,
Welcome to this forum.
Sorry for the delay. People call Geneva Roth a Loan Shark Company. Many of our forum members had bad experience with them. The complaints against them are increasing day by day. What they are doing is totally illegal and it should be stopped. You can file a complaint against them with FTC, State Attorney General Office.
Thanks,
Larry |

| I went to the bank today and put a stop pay on the ach and also sent GR a letter. Has anyone else tried this method? I have a very local, personal bank and its somewhat embarassing if If have to go through a lot of hell. I am hoping that my banker will be proactive. |

Hello nikki,
I think you have taken a good decision. Geneva Roth is doing all sorts of illegal actions. It should be stopped somehow. |

I've closed my account and changed banks but didn't give any new info to Geneva. I asked them if I could mail in a payment (cashier's check or money order) but they said no. Here's the full response...
No Mam, you can only make payments by money gram, western union or , we can debit the funds from your account.

What kind of company will only accept payments by direct debit or Western Union/Moneygram???

I sent them a registered letter 2 weeks ago to the address on this board. The Post Office forwarded to another address and it has not been p/u there. So they're not picking up mail either I guess. This is just ridiculous. They are not licensed in OK therefore, they're not legal. The only recourse
I have is to open a new account I think. They're now taking the money out of my acct under a new name GRC Funding. |

Hi,
Geneva Roth is doing all sorts of illegal activities. You should teach them a lesson. Why don't you file a complaint against them with FTC, State Attorney General Office?
Thanks,

| I just got off the phonea company rep. because I have discovered they have been hitting my account for $180 a month extension on a loan I paid back in a week. I had moved and left an inactive acount opened. It was not a pleasant conversation, especially after they guy told me they would "settle" the account for the original prinicpla amount. I told him "not another dime," and that they owe me $720, but that I would settle for less. Needless to say we did not agree on how to handle this matter. I got the usual threats of reprisal and he said an attorney would be contacting me. I told him him I already know the kind of company I am dealing with so "bring it on." |

| You have done a good thing. No need to fear such threats. They are involved in all sorts of illegal stuffs. So you can rather lodge a complaint against them in your State Attorney General Office. |

| Geneva Roth hit me for 320.00 last night, out of an account that they had no information on. They said they got it through an application I had put out on the internet for a loan. I have stopped any future payments and have disputed it with the bank. Roth Rep told me that I in my aggrement I signed that it states that they can obtain the monies through any account the obtain information for. How do you report these and make them stop. |

| Randolph, Geneva has so many aliases it would be hard to say what isn't them. I believe Capital and Ventures are one and the same. |
