Hi,
As far as I know, SJM marketing is affiliated to Elis Crosby, a debt collection agency. SJM Marketing may be doing illegal activities just like by Ellis crosby.

I met a lot of people facing problems with this SJM Marketing. The activities of this company are putting a black mark on the industry. This is really disgusting. 
Adonis has done well by opening this topic. At least it will make everyone aware of that name.

Cut off you deal with this company Sal as it has earned all the bad votes from the community.
This company seems to be more into putting money into his pocket rather giving quality service to the common people.

And, if the account is sent to outside collection, the number to contact is 866-350- 5696.
They are also known as PlatinumBServices.

We have received several complaints about this company and it looks like they are really doing some manipulation.
The 1st thing what you should do is contact your bank and asked them to stop all the automatic payments. Be carefull about them as they may be associates or partners of Ellis Crosby.
Its better to stop all your payments and once that is done they will surely contact you and then you can handle them easily as then you will have the time to understand whats going on with your loan and account.

Hi Chris,
This company which you are asking for has a bad reputation in the market as one of the worst collection agencies.
If you call them up with your problem they may not allow you to catch hold of them as they have done with many.
So, it's better if you contact them pretending as a new customer and them they may contact you in return.
If you find it difficult to handle to handle them, in that case you might lodge a complaint with the local police station and also with FTC, BBB and local attorney general office in your area.

Welcome to MortgageFit Forums.
SJM marketing has a bad reputation in the market due to some fraudulent activities practiced by them. I have found a lot of people complaining about them.
Their activities produce trouble to many and they just try to drain money out of you if proper measures are not taken.
I think if you feel that some unnecessary collection is taking place, you should inform your bank account and if you can try to get a written statement from the bank about this wrong activity by SJM.
This will help you in filing a case against them if you require. I would also suggest you to take the help of an experienced attorney and take his suggestions.

Hi,
I can understand that the company is creating a lot of trouble for you. Why not contact the bank having your account and talk to the authorities there regarding this company. Tell them that the company is into some illegal practices.
You should also contact the company officials. Just take a look at the posts above where Adonis has given their contact number. Call them up and ask them what they are really upto. After all, it's really no use harassing innocent people out there.
Let us know if they have stopped doing such things. And, also consult a lawyer, as he can also help you in this regard.
