Hi jessie!

FHA lenders generally offer loans to people who have at least a credit score of 580. I don't think they will offer a loan to someone with a credit score less than 580.

Thanks.

Hi jessie!

I agree with Niicss that FHA lenders will offer loans to people with at least a credit score of 580. It is tough to get a loan with a credit score below that.

Thanks,

Jerry

your best bet is to work with a broker. There are lenders who will write an FHA loan with scores lower than 580

yes indeed, there are loans available to those with scores below 580. what will be needed is sufficient offsetting compensating factors to have an underwriter overlook the low score.

it will definitely be more expensive than your standard fha loan, but if you can afford to do so, you should still be able to find lenders willing to work with you.
