I am currently purchasing my first home and the loan process has last about 2 months due to a host of issues such as deed transfer and so on. Now that the property if off the hold condition I was ask to send my most recent bank statement again as well as my loan deferment and a third extention. The seller is now charging per diem until 11/16/2009 which I am afraid because I am not sure if we will close by the date. The loan officer told me that's all is needed for the loan to close as well as employment verification . Does that mean that I am on the right track to close on this property? I sign the extension already is it ok since it has taken this long to close on this property?

Thank you

Thank you

Hi,

If you have sent the required documents, it should not take much time to close on the loan and the property. But you never know how much time the underwriter is going to take to approve the loan. It is good you have signed the extension because it is uncertain how many days it will take to close on the loan. Insofar as the per diem charge is concerned, you cannot do much about it. All you can do is talk with the seller and request him to not charge on a daily basis.
